Default Speak Up ...

I have mentioned previously a 'little' problem I have been experiencing with my door speakers on my '90 745 over the past year in that the fronts/left/right and wherever cut out randomly.

I have learnt that a trick to get them functioning again (if albeit temporarily) is to just tap the door mirror or window operating switch.

Having done a couple of hundred miles or so over Christmas in some terrible weather conditions I have found that even operating the wipers or switching on the headlights (amongst others) makes the speakers all cut in again for a long or short time.

I am beginning to conclude that as the problem seems to be associated with a change/spike in voltage that a poor earth connection at the radio/loom/speaker by-pass wiring (or elsewhere!!) may be the culprit.

Any ideas?

Bob.
