Sounds suspiciously like the seals are going, either in the master cylinder or the slave cylinder. Not sure the price premium on synthetic fluid would be worth paying against the normal cost of a good quality DOT4 brake fluid. For the amount the clutch is used and the heat (not) produced, it wouldn't really benefit you any.
