Same problem
Hi all. I've the exact problem.
On inspection the handle moves freely and you can see the cable moving in and out of the lock mhanism sleeve, so not rusted shut although it could do with being replaced.
My issue is probably the lock then, but how have people opened the boot to replace it? If I release the cable can I force it open? Once open can I close it again or should I wait till I have the part?
Did anyone find an easy way to open a locked shut boot?
