A few rambling thoughts.

Apparently you can't fight inevitability and the increased density of world population with its inherently gregarious nature and associated toys of varying scale.

Visualise the (never seen?) scenario of parking in a totally empty car park with undersized spaces only to return and find the only two additional cars in the car park residing one each side of yours and a small dent in either side of your car to confirm their appearance.

Perhaps it might be seen as fortunate by some that people still buy nice new shiny cars, take that first hit of massive depreciation, use them and iron out all the development bugs, whilst cosseting and at the same time being paranoid about where to park them in an effort to avoid the tiniest bit of minor damage (which they then have repaired), only to become bored with their pride and joy to subsequently reject and dispose of it and to repeat the process over again.

In an effort to preserve some last vestige of sanity some might be seen to take some advantage of this prior scenario by seeking out one of these well kept rejected examples (perhaps even a used Volvo?) at reasonable cost and to further adopt a less "perfectionist" attitude to life thereby bringing some level of reduction in paranoia and a propensity towards a more relaxed attitude to life, (perhaps that's also to some degree called giving up!).

At the end of the day all these cars, with infinitesimally small exception, end up in the scrap yard anyway.
