Over the past few weeks, with it's first MOT coming up in my ownership, I did the following to my 2002 V70 2.4 140.

New inner tie rods
New track rod ends
New front struts
New top mounts and spring seats
New front droplinks
Fitted adjusters to rear handbrake mechanism
New front and rear brake discs and pads
Removed front wings and cleaned and undersealed
Undersealed remainder of car
Fitted winter wheels and tyres
New oils and filters
New fuel filter (original almost rusted through)

(Car had previously been serviced by a combination of Arnold Clark main Volvo dealer, and Kwik Fit, lets just say what the comprehensive service history said, and the evidence before my eyes, were 2 different things)

Cost of all the parts above apart from the winter wheels came to pretty much what the previous owner paid Arnold Clark for 1 service.......

Passed MOT with no advisories, and compliments on its condition from the tester! :-)

Also found heating to be poor, either off or totally on. Discovered cabin temperature sensor hadn't been reconnected after the LPG gauge had been fitted, 5 years ago!
Now toasty warm when required, that's Her Majesty happy!
