I have a 1979 244 DL too, also got spare headlights/surrounds. So could potentially be a parts donor but Ive not looked into that too much as yet.
I just imagine getting it jigged/straightening would be a considerable price these days. Then the replacing parts etc.
Largely just disheartened by the work that went into it only to have it destroyed 2 weeks after it got its MOT
