So at least 18" and 19" wheels can be chained.
I see in the manual that only one sided chains are allowed and only on the front axle.

These chains are as I have found only available from Volvo (Centrax link above) and costs more than 10 times the chains I've used on my previous VW, that worked great the only day I actually needed it (or at least felt like I needed and put on) in five year.

So I'm a bit reluctant to pay >4KSEK (>300£) for something I might never use. And the risk is that I will not buy it before I've got stuck at least once.

Have never tested the socks but I suspect that chains are very much better in snow and also works if stuck in e.g. mud/sand, on the other hand the socks probably are very compact.

Some value alternative is most welcome.
