ok this is how I drive
Gentle acceleration ,read road ahead if look like traffic slowing I take foot off acclerator and drop into neutral and coast along at 800 rpm , as I approach traffic i select the most appropriate gear and gentle acceleration , I rarely have to brake, .if I know lights will change before I get there I drive with this in mind , similar if I see traffic ahead slowing then I ease off acceleration .
OK only change I now do is , never coast as I was reading my highway code and this is forbidden,
on the whole I trend to keep up with traffic .
I would love to drive 80s style , no traffic and clear roads , my fav drive was Scotland to England m6 new years day as the fireworks started .it used to be me and maybe 3-4 trucks and a sprinkling of light snow ,nice music _-------paradise
