I think its a bit of a mixxed bag with the newer 2.0D, I think it becomes an issue if you don't get it up to temperature and the particulates don't burn off which then clogs everything, from my time of this forums I havn't really come across anyone who has had a major issue with the 1.9D, its usually EGR related which is free to clean vs the posibility of a more expensive part failing like the DPF on the 2.0Ds.
