Well Andrew, if I was looking to pay top dollar for a 30 year old Volvo that is what I would do, which is the reason I don't quite understand the bidding pattern. I'm not sure, but I think we have seen something similar with this seller previously (lots of high bids early on).

If as Dave suggests the 'deposit taken' notice is just a rouse to create a frenzy then we may well see this one advertised again in a fortnight.

PS. Bidding is now up to £8,100.99 - how is that happening if the motor car is already sold and the seller has taken a deposit?
