I've tried with an allen key which I think fits, but I can't get enough purchase on it for it to budge. I tried also with a similar sized torx bit but it won't budge either and I don't want to out any more force on it in case I wreck it.
I gave it a spay with some bolt loosening stuff but it ain't moving...
Any bright ideas please?

its not an allen bolt is a friction joint you change that to the new alternator once the alternator is off , you need to slacken the metal clamp which presses against that friction joint and slide it out ... ( 5mm or 4mm hexagon ? )
