I would agree that if you carefully select a tyre from the manufacturers you have listed you are assured of reasonable results - but I would not restrict it to just those - FYI with regard to car tyres, Goodyear and Dunlop are the same entity. These days it's really important that people buying tyres check the EU label and keep that in mind when making a selection. Vredestien, Cooper, Yokohama, Bridgestone and Pirelli all have offerings as good as those listed.
The German ADAC folks do some real good tyre tests and it's very rare for one of the big players to make a top of the range tyre that is also not at the top of the braking distance tables.

Goodyear are the major stock holder in Dunlop, but they sell different tyre types.
Bridgestone did make one particular size of tyre that was good and a few of the top of the range Pirelli's produce slightly better aquaplaning in the curve figures.
You get what you pay for from the others!

Volvo in Germany fit Continental tyres to most of their models as OEM, along with a few Michellins.
Mercedes only fit Dunlops at present.
