I have also used this stuff for all manner of sealing jobs not just on the cars, but general diy as well. Never let me down and convenient as it comes in small tubes and once opened soon 'goes off'. Comes in clear as well, so would be good for lenses etc.

For good clean lines, I apply masking tape down the side of the joint, apply the sealant and smooth off with a smooth knife or wet finger and then remove the masking tape. It is important to smooth off down to the masking tape so there is only the thickness of the tape left along the edge. If that makes sense
