yes the S40/V50 platform is littered with "FoMoCo" parts

if i were you i would have a BIG read up on the ford powershift gearbox before going anywhere Near the car again.

i would also have a Good look at the post by T5R92011 in respect of the engine size/type....

err Only IF it was a preventative measure, IF it was done to hide an existing fault to sell the car not so much
also it depends HOW the "oil" was changed and IF the correct grade ATF was used ,,,, thats a 50/50 !
