I prefer the pullers that have the semi-circular base for Pitman arms like this one =>

The two pronged jobber do work but can also go a bit skewy causing damage to the end of the shaft.

Tip for access - don't forget about the adjusting screw on the steering box - adjust the screw so the tension in the box goes loose and the Pitman arm comes away from the casing - you then have more space to fit the jaws of the puller (which ever one you choose to use)
