I removed the badge, cleaned off the remaining adhesive (WD 40 and then a blade edge to gently scrape).
Then once it was all off i buffed it up to remove anything else.
My badge turned up today, so another buffing with kitchen roll so it was clean and no rain/muck and put the badge on.
it was a tight fit but fitted perfectly (not unexpected though) and looks a lot better. Biggest pain was removing the old one!
