7 yrs!!! Bloody hell!! Couple of things to consider first before you start it up.
1,Did it have water in or antifreeze when layed up and is there a chance that it could have frozen in this time?
2 Obviously check the oil etc, but first off ,try to turn the engine by hand to check it hasnt seized. If its free to turn then your half way there!
3 Get a good fully charged battery ( and a spare if possible ) , take out the plugs and give it a crank over. if it spins freely on the starter, then put the plugs back in and cross you fingers! Hopefully it will start , however the petrol may have deteriorated over the years so have a gallon or so to hand.
Hopefully you will get it running but then there a other things to consider, ie is the clutch stuck, handbrake stuck on, brakes rusted or cylinders perished , the list goes on and on. Good luck with it anyway!!
