Not disbelieing you at all ... just saying that the info has always been in the tester's manual as i quoted above .. If the metal plates were not there on the volvos you would have to fail it if the wheels were rubbing through the plastic arch liner .. But as volvo have provided a specific plate ( or block in the case of Morgan) then it is permissible for the wheels to rub the metal plate , What did the SN say by the way?
