u for real? Yep! It can be done, I find the bigger engines are naturally happier cruising at slightly higher speeds, cruise control at 70mph for an hour or so will easily see around 38mpg in mine.
Sadly I only do these a few times a year as I live 6 miles away from work and most of my other journeys are fairly short, hence the average 24mpg at the moment
