If you are considering fabricating be sure to make it nice and strong. When tightening that vvt there is a considerable amount of force put on the cam itself and therefore the tool too. Pretty sure someone posted some specs for the tool on here somewhere for just that purpose (fabricating). Alternately I’m sure someone would send you theirs through the post for a nominal fee as long as you promise to send back.
