On the basis of this discussion I have just booked both my cars for a Superchips upgrade. I like the moderate power increase they offer - and the £100 off if booked before the end of April :-) I'll let you know how it goes (or they go?). I had been thinking about the Celtic Tuning upgrade - more power, but, perhaps, rather more than I needed. I tend to take any Polestar power increase as a sensible uplift and a guide to where I should be aiming. I had a previous C30 (2.0D - the Ford engine) remapped by Hamish Lindsay at Bromsgrove (full rolling road job) and that was awesome - 180bhp and 400+ torque - it was so effortless on the road and really, really fast. It certainly sorted the low down lack of go that afflicts modern diesel engines tuned for emissions...
