I went from a V70 SE 2010 to a XC90 2014 recently due to needing 7 seats occasionaly.

The first thing I noticed was how noisy the engine was when accelerating, maybe the levels of sound insulation are less. Then i noticed things like how the seats are not as comfy in the XC90 as the V70 and how the instrument cluster, buttons and switches appear cheaper.

I'm assuming it could be down to trim levels but the P3 was a much nicer car to drive and be in or it could be that by 2014 the ford influence was directing cheaper components or a bit of both.

Having said that i love the space and height of the XC90 and won't be swapping it until 2030 at the earliest !
