thanks for the replacement info. i think i will leave it until i get a chance to replace it....

the parts changed at last service were oil (10w40), oil filter, air filter, pollen filter, screen wash, bulbs and the usual check up all round. AFAIK, they did not use genuine volvo parts.

ps - is there a detailed guide on how to fix the rear wiper? the wiper blade does not provide full contact with the read screen. thanks.
