Default "Alarm!" message ('nuclear mishap'?)

Well, it's quiet on the work front this morning, and I'm on a long journey on Monday, so I thought that I'd read the section in the manual about the CD mutichanger (which I have previously ignored), and reading further at the specifications page I came across this:

Quote:
“Alarm!” is shown in the radio display when an alarm message is broadcast. This function warns motorists for serious collisions or other hazardous situations such as collapsed bridge or nuclear mishap.
Sheesh. I'm sure glad I read that, otherwise I'd have shouted at the damn thing to stop giving me useless information ...

... mind you, the car is eleven years old, so I reckon the warning system is defunct by now – but living nearish to Sizewell B, it may come in handy one day if there is ever a 'nuclear mishap'
