Default Removing Servo

Fortunately I have never had to do this but wondering if it is possible to remove the push rod from inside the car to allow clearance to remove the servo?

Push rods are usually retained by a circlip just inside the bore and if you have a suitable set of circlip pliers then you could pull the rubber gaiter back inside the foot well and then maybe be able to get at the circlip. I am only guessing on this on the basis that you must be able to disconnect the push rod from the pedal and also undo the four nuts holding the servo to the bulkhead, again inside the foot well.

If this is possible it may be slightly better than dropping the engine.
