I asked the garage (which is a Volvo specialist) for a small service. However, they replaced the oil, air and pollen filters. Is that not usual for a small service?
I'm almost certain the first service it had with me (also at a Volvo specialist garage) did a software update.

yes that is the normal small service . If they are an independent workshop then they should be able to do all you need ….. at a stiff price .. and the additive tank should have been topped up at the 75000 mile service , they easily last 36000 miles ...
