I managed to get hold of yet another remote fob, this time it looks to be one that's been sitting in a drawer for a couple of decades and has never been used. This allowed me to do a case swap for my fob that was missing the leather strap. I would have liked to keep the button pad that has the script on it but unfortunately the contact for the PCB is different and not interchangeable between the two so I had to use the original non-script pad.
I now have a couple of remote fobs surplus to requirements. the one with the script on the front I'm almost certain is unused (but in my old case) and working perfectly but would need programmed to your car, the other has no battery cover and you would need to find one therefore sold as spares only. If anyone is looking for a remote let me know
