Your problem can also be caused by the failure of the alignment / angle sensor found on the rear axle.... this can sometimes be fixed by a re-calibration with VIDA (SUM-CALIBRATION).

That's only for xenon lights which don't have the adjuster on the dash as this replaces it. You can also read live data from the sensor with vida which is usful in identifiying a faulty sensor.
