The buyers who believes the promise that the auction would run to the end and followed the bid process and were disappointed, might by the way have offered an even higher unbelievable price if they'd had the opportunity. And eBay bidding can run up unexpectedly to a very high price. The successful buyer saw a reason to pay high, others might have paid higher. Food for thought.

I fully agree, but in this case..... I doubt it. Man with cash in front of me versus potential messing about and relisting. I had a target and he exceeded it by far. Bear also that it takes two to bid it up to silly money.
