I have, I brought a Focus a while back that seemed to have been in a front-end shunt against something like a tow ball and wrongly repaired. The garage refused to repair free of charge and tried all sorts of excuses. I wrote a very polite letter to the owner explaining the detail in the Sale of Goods Act and that if they didn't repair it free of charge or give a full refund less wear and tear the next step would be via solicitors.
