I have noticed more 240's appearing on eBay, Autotrader etc for upwards of £5K. £10K is not unheard of - however these dont sell quickly.

In light of this it is not surprising that specialist dealers are becoming more interested. They would be daft not to.

For those of us who regard them as workhorses and daily drivers this process further hastens 'the end' as they slowly but surely move firmly into the 'classics' camp.

Still quite a few cheap 700 and 900 series about though. When I have worn out my current daily driver (1992 240 Estate - which I average 1K per week in, so about another 2-3 years I think) then I think I will move over to one of these. A much cheaper alternative. Always good to keep a nice 240 as a second car of course!
