Watching this with interest as I'm in a similar boat.My P1 2.4 n/a would sufer a fluctuating idle if I took it much above 2,000rpm and if I took it to 4,000rpm it was like hitting a brick wall.A mate converted it to contactless and now it has a lumpy idle all the time and while it'll rev smoothly it won't go higher than 3,500 rpm but it's still smooth once there and not stuttering like it's hit a rev limiter or anything.I've asked the question in the section relevant to my car but with no joy thus far.
