Pay close attention to how the belt attaches to the seat on the older cars there is a nut and bolt through the loop formed in the end of the seat belt, on later cars there is a quick release clip, whilst it is possible to alter the attachment bracket from the new style to the older one it involves the use of a milling machine (or it did the last time I did this job), modifying a new style quick reales attachment to the older nut and bolt method isn't something I have tried.

When you take the outboard seat side trim off (the part with the electrical switches in it there should be a red plastic ring stowed within the trim, remove this and slide it down the reel initiator to prevent inadvertant operation of the seats safety system - Mike
