I called for a quote last week, and apparently you don't have an underwriter who will consider my (34 year old!) 343 to be a classic car, and as I have agreed value policies, that made it a non-starter! I'd like to politely argue the case with them, or at least inspect their "allowable classics" list...!
You weren't alone in having trouble, though. Footman James wouldn't insure it with its list of modifications, as the brakes were unchanged. I pointed out that the (1.4 > 2.0) engine swap was from the same model of car, and the brakes aren't different, but that didn't matter!
Maybe next year I'll be a CK customer again?
cheers
James
