A few options here:
1/ One of the forum members can repair the pots that wear out for a little over £100 see Here
2/ BBA Remanufacturing in Rochester, cost around £250 to replace the pots and test the ETM, (I used them back in 2009 for the ETM repair which cost £330 and it's been fine ever since).
3/ XeMODeX see Here not cheap and factor in the cost of postage - Mike

not just 12 years ago , back 25 years ago too on various electrics on the alfa romeos ...
But i have always said that volvo don't just buy in parts, they stipulate the specifications .. in practise the general life of these throttles is a little over 100,000 miles , i would like to know the lifespan volvo gave them .. A friend has a 2000 model V70 with 175000 miles still going strong on his original silver label ETM however ! It did have the software update some years ago though .
