Not all of these engines seem to suffer from the problem of high oil consumption.
My wife's late 2015 V60 D3 (104,000 miles) uses a lot of oil, but my late 2014 V70 D4 (131,000 miles) doesn't.
The challenge is to determine whether or not the vehicle on sale has this issue, and I have no idea how this might be achieved.
