Henry,

Pics of the sump we have been discussing via PM.

It has a hole for the oil temperature sender on the right hand side and as Robert has said is a different size on the B20 engine from the B18. I had a working B18 oil / water temp unit so fitted that and a B18 sump to the 1800 - with a bit of trimming of the baffle plate. I don't know whether a B230 engine had an oil temp unit or whether the sender is different from the B20 - someone else on here might know.
