I once had a fan stay running on a V90 even when ignition turned off, it flattened my battery and I could not even open the doors with the fob or cancel the alarm, which activated when I disconnected the battery after unlocked car with the key.
It was running when I parked the car in my garage but I thought it would stop when engine cooled but obviously it continued to run until battery was drained.
After recharging the battery and re-fitting it the fan started back up, I pulling the fan fuse (which was a big 50 amp one) and left it out for a short while, when I put the fuse back in the fan did not come on, it never happened again.
Being an Automatic which do not start with a push I was worried this might happen again when in the middle of nowhere so I always carried a jump starter in the car after that, which was never used.
