The risk is a loss of power steering fuid if fan hits the power steering hose from pump resulting in loss of power steering and heavy steering, it would not cause juddering.
If you have not had the retaining bracket fitted use a tie wrap to fasten hose away from fan as a temporary fix, thats what Volvo did until the brackets were available. Check your pipe and fluid level.
