Ok, not been on for a while, had some progress...

The door hinge sent was the wrong side, however decided to keep it and get the driver's, as they're getting harder to find. I was going to support the door using an engine crane and trolley jack, but I will employ the help of my son also, thanks for the heads up.

From what I could see the fixing to the PAS pump of the return line was good, the replacement lines are in now, and all is good there.

A headlight alignment motor that was malfunctioning, turned out only to be dirty sliding contacts, which wasn't too bad a job.

However the steering rack was an advisory (the only one) from its recent MOT, so I have ordered some inner and outer track rods and boots etc. One inner joint was quite worn as the grease had dried out.

The rear washer jet had blocked, and needed removing, and the clips holding the tailgate spoiler on had perished, so I am looking for a set of those, which seem to be unobtainium! Any ideas? I don't want to just fill it with sikaflex and stick it back, if possible.

As for the gearbox, I have gone through a whole host of diag tests using the little flashing LED and pushbutton DLC box. Turns out two of the solenoids in the gearbox (the lock up and the pressure control ones) are most likely stuck, as they don't click after the two shift ones do, in the diag sequence.

Yesterday I dropped the pan off and weather permitting I will get the solenoids out and clean them, as per YouTube directions :-)

If they go back clicking then that should be a win.

Once it is all back and working, I will attempt a full flush using the cooler lines and a big bucket!

Oh, and I have found rain water leaking in on the passenger side, so that will have to be investigated during the hotter months.
