If you have one of the old type OMVL R90's they are great but the new ones do not work as well. The old Groot (GMS) units were not bad.
The castings are not the same and there is not enough material there to bore to 2.3, it will break into teh water ways.
The head you can swap over no issues there
You could fit a lamda into the exhaust and use an LED display to give you an idea of what is going on.
