Back in it's day - 9 years ago - it cost around 2290 GBP, with Volvo guarrantee, proper homolgation, no issues with vehicle inspection (emissions, noise, etc), certificate in the vehicle, vehicle documents updated, central vehicle registry updated, and permanent label with stamped serial number located in the engine bay.
Miles apart from the "reflash" services offered by fish-n-chip tuners...
