Just to keep you up to speed as I know how frustrating it is when a thread dries up.
I have ordered the aux belt kit but due to Xmas and a house move I just have not had time to change out. What I should have explained originally is that the noise is only on right hand lock, not necessarily full lock. The noise is consistent with road wheel speed. Its not constant. Its as if something is warped and catching at a certain point each revaluation.
It is not the sort of noise I would expect from a slipping belt. I would expect a constant noise.
I will of course keep you posted when I change the belt as to weather it has cured the noise or not. This wont be for three weeks or more as I am back at work but in the mean time any more thoughts would be appreciated.
