Default RE: 87 or 90 degree thermostat ?

used to have a 360 that you could fry eggs on the bonnet, one dealer wanted to sell me a 90 or 92c stat, was some years back now so cant remeber clearly, the other one said i should have an 87 or 88c something like that. anyway went for the 88 and it bought the temp down nicely. so i think the higher temp ones are for colder climates eg sweden, whereas the lower temp ones are for warmer climates, just guessing mind you. anyway id put the lowest temp one in you can find, as ive found with my 850 that the underbonnet temps get quite high, and high temps sometimes lead to premature electrical part failiures and so on.
