The fact it's broken down 5 days in is bad, very bad, but OK **** happens, 5 hours for recovery is also unacceptable, part not available until after xmas, hmm, getting worse but survivable....not having a comparable replacement car is bang out of order and a Suzuki Swift......don't Suzuki make motorbikes!!
Someone is seriously taking the mick! Landrover Assist use Enterprise for replacement cars and it's always another LR vehicle, I've had Freelanders and Full fat Range Rovers......there's a reason you buy and XC90 be it the 7 seats/4x4 capability etc.
Tell the dealer you are going away at xmas, 7 people plus luggage and enquire as to how you are supposed to do that in a Swift? I'd start making mumblings of rejecting the car, canceling finance agreements etc unless they sort something out.
