I got this as part of an MOT failure the rotten swines. If you look to the middle of the photo below I've circled my fix. There is a boss in the centre of the column controls bracket which serves no purpose but I found it goes through to the steering column outer tube. I checked the depth with a thin allen key as you don't want your screw to foul the actual steering column, just nip it up on the outer tube. Problem solved, middle finger to pedantic MOT testers!
