That sensor is not fit for purpose.

It should be removed and replaced with a dipstick. The engine has the port for it, it's just capped off. An excellent way for a dealer to scam extra money off people....IMHO
All well and good then , remember zero is not empty it is just near MIN on a conventional dipstick it will still leave about 85% of the oil in the sump ..

Make sure they recalibrate the sensor at next oil change , exactly 5 litres should go in then recalibrate the oil level sensor ..as I said it is very sensitive therefore accurate when serviced properly .
