took under tray off and put on ramps to have a good look. Turbo unit is dry, so guessing it’s not that at fault, oil is on the rubber pipes, towards the top – almost under big induction pipe. Obviously oil drips down and not up so it’s got to be coming from highest point – unless it’s spraying up, though not enough evidence to support that idea!
I’m no mechanic by any means however I do have a trusty guy that used for several years.
obviously without actually seeing, are certain pipes more likely to leak than others ? There’s also a black valve with a few small pipes coming off- not sure if this is an oil feed (doubt it).
My mechanic is booked for a few weeks, I like to go with knowledge.
turbo kicks in as it should without fail 😂
It’s had a decat and stage 1 – though this shouldn’t effect any oil issues.
any help or advice much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
if you can check up around the PVC/Oil filter housing and the oil pressure sensor near it,
they are either side of the dipstick tube, in a really lovely place to get to/work on
PVC diaphragm Can fail,
choice of new one from ebay/similar ,, or whole new housing,
oil pressure sensor, id recommend Gen volvo one it its that
the "sod it ill fix it " option is both IF the wet is from around that area,
also there IS a pipe going from the pcv to the top of the head, snakes in/out of the plastics @ the top of the head,,

Diy doable but Pain,, good volvo indy "preferred choice" as the up/down needed on the car to get it done is a Lot easier with a lift

oh and IF you go new pvc /filter housing unit , there are NO threads tapped in it, use the bolts from the existing one to tap the threads, Do keep them true to the unit and use the bolts in exactly the same hole,,
