If the engine is similar to the B230 k I have the same problem. The ignition advance is temperature controlled as well. Net result is that when you start the temperature sets ignition and the choke flap. These should and i say should go in sync as the engine warms up but the engine block temp sets the ignition and water temp+electrical wires control the choke flap. I sometimes get this effect for a few minutes but then everything levels out. PS check your flame trap as this can affect engine in a similar way. Cheers Nigel
