I also experienced the same problem. Getting petrol was a nightmare. Initially i had the engine temperature sensor replaced initially by a indy garage and it didn't fully resolve the issue. My Volvo Specialist sourced an original Volvo item from a main dealer and fitted it - I have never had a problem since.
